We had over 40 gamers again! (41 to be exact). Still a little chaotic, but moving some games upstairs helped out. We're still trying to figure all this out and work out the kinks, but everyone seems to be having a good time.
We were just about to start some Ubongo Extreme when a bunch of people showed up, so we started the night instead with Say Anything. If you are wondering, there was an attempt to get everyone in the picture, but there was an even bigger effort by those who wished to stay out of it.
A second game was started as more people arrived. They pressed their luck with Duck, Duck, Bruce. I was assured that the game was both fun and suspenseful.
Still other gamers sat down, learned and played Easy Come, Easy Go. It's a simple competitive game that's a lot of fun, and just when you think you've won someone stops you and then you have to try and stop them.
We played a six player game of Forbidden Island ignoring the rules that say it only goes to four players. We had a good strategy, but the cards were brutal. Artifact card pairs were hard to come by, but the Waters Rising cards kept coming up in pairs. The island was quickly under water.
There aren't too many worse case scenarios for a game night than kids trying to get through a game of Worst Case Scenario. Luckily, a while later, the same two kids were found playing Small World, a near best case scenario.
Get the gem cards were being placed all over the sanctuary. The gem went missing for a little while, and we found a card later on, too. Oh well, finding stuff is part of the game, so we shouldn't expect anything else.
Some teens broke with tradition and played Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero. It was a popular hang out for some of them, but the average age stayed well below eighteen. We're thankful that they kept the music down.
Not really sure what these girls were doing. The only game they were playing was with the camera. Guess they were just having fun, and that's okay.
Citadels is a blast! It went on for quite a while. Too bad there wasn't a second game. There would have been at least one more player.
Several women got into playing King Me, but they didn't add the Toilet expansion which some may say is essential (or at least is funny). There was some confusion over the rules especially by the big winner not seen in these photos and who claims she still doesn't understand what she was doing. For her picture see the Say Anything picture above. That's her leaning back out of the picture, on the left, in the jeans.
Some people played nothing more than Rummikub. And why not? Rummikub is a great game. Got to get that one out more often.
A few were shocked to find themselves playing Portrayal and later nearly exhausted while playing Beep! Beep! Funny Beep! Beep! is typically a high energy game.

Bang! is made all the more fun with a real Sheriff's badge (sort of) and foam guns. The outlaws won as one of them was brought back to life by the fist full of cards. The game was going a little long when all of a sudden the Sheriff went down in a blaze of gun fire.
Talkin' Tango was invited to the dance again. The party games have had repeated success at the group.

Last, but not least, the ladies brought out Bananagrams. Usually when this game starts it doesn't end. People just keep playing it over and over, so it is probably a good thing that it was brought out towards the end of the night.
Everyone seemed to have a great time at the group. Everyone asked said they'd be back again. We're toying with having a themed night where a lot of the games played would all be the same type. Maybe a space game night would be a good first night, or maybe pirates. We'll think about it.
