We had our biggest Game Night ever at 49. It was fun and a little chaotic. Look at all of the filled tables, and this was only one of the two floors we used.
What's the word on the street about a new party, word, trivia game that's a lot of fun? Why it's Word on the Street of course.
Battle Line is a great two player game that with a little creative adjustments plays fine with three or even four.
We have some new Dominion fans. It's hard not to love Dominion, though. It is a great game. King of the Beasts in the forefront looks like it might have been played.
We had a big game of Wits and Wagers. So big that some people had to double up. We all had a great time though.
Yahtzee Free for All takes the mechanics of Yahtzee and turns it competitive where you can steal your opponents points just before they score them. It's good fun and light game.
Dutch Blitz is hard enough, but looks really hard on this tablecloth. The kindergarten chairs don't help much either.
These guys played a big game of Cosmic Encounter. All of them are new players, but one. Guess who won. Oh well, it's a tough lesson to learn that you shouldn't make too many alliances.
Some young boys pulled out For Sale and played it all by themselves. I wonder how that went. I heard it turned out great!
Loco Motive was a big hit again. Here we have a full eight people playing and I think a few were lining up to take on the winners.
We had not one, but two games of Wits and Wagers going on at the Game Group. Here Wits and Wagers Family is being played for maybe the third time that night.
What game is so fun to watch that it attracts observers? Rock the Beat. See the video below for a look at how this went (not good I'm afraid). Well, we didn't have a lot of long runs, but we did have a lot of fun.
Some of the best games need nothing more than a deck of cards. In Western New York many would argue that the best card game is Euchre.
Here On the Dot is being taught. Knowing how to play doesn't make this puzzle game any easier.
Beep! Beep! honked back in for a return visit to the game group.
Some kids games are fun for adults too. Here we have people shaking mini igloos so they can guess how many fish are inside. The game is bizarre, but fun.
Roll Through the Ages is Yahtzee turned into a strategic civilization game. It's also a blast to play.
Some new comers tried out Jungle Speed. There were only a couple of slight injuries this time.
Two gamers decided to take a break from the larger games and try a quick game of Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation (Deluxe). The game plays a lot like Stratego, but adds all kinds of wonderful things to it making this one of the best two player games ever.
As promised here are a couple of videos of a bunch of us playing Rock the Beat. In the first we're all trying to make a butterfly with our hands which is one of the gestures in the game. In the second video we're playing the game, but not very well.
That's all for now. We hope to have everyone back for our next game group and more! We're hoping to break 50 sometime soon.
